Sonorus Introduces AUDI/O AES/8 Interface

New York, NY - The digital audio power of Sonorus, Inc. is now available to high-end professional studios, AV departments, post houses, film companies, home studios and project rooms, with the introduction of AUDI/O® AES/8.

AUDI/O AES/8 allows connection of Digital Audio Workstations to a wide range of digital audio equipment via four AES/EBU (switchable to SPDIF) inputs (20 bit resolution) and four outputs (24 bit resolution). AES/8 's TASCAM TDIF interface makes it possible for STUDI/O™ from Sonorus or other manufacturer's ADAT lightpipe equipment to interact with virtually the entire digital audio world. TDIF resolution is programmable to 16, 20 or 24 bits via STUDI/O. The AES/8 interface includes word clock or video lock, individual sample rate converters on the AES inputs, illuminated switches, LED's on each input and output, select input switches for each channel, exclusive Sonorus 24-bit ADAT interface, and a comprehensive clock selection for integration into any digital audio environment.

"The AUDI/O AES/8 brings STUDI/O's functionality to a wider range of digital audio engineers. This unit was developed for the engineer who has already been operating in the digital domain for a while, and who would like to take advantage of the latest developments in this field," comments Sonorus General Manager Lumi Michelle Rolley. "Our mission at Sonorus is to help audio engineers get the most out of their digital audio equipment by making it as easy as possible to connect the various components and to incorporate them into a Digital Audio Workstation environment. This was what our hardware engineers had in mind with the development of our flagship product STUDI/O; we've taken the concept to the next level with the introduction of AUDI/O AES/8."
