DISABLING IRQ STEERING  (WIN95)

Since Microsoft says IRQ Steering is not supported (which explains why it's only halfway implemented), you should DEFINITELY make sure it's disabled!  Here's how.

1. Open your System control panel, to Device Manager.

In case you've forgotten how to open the "System Control Panel":
  1. Open the Windows Contol Panel.
  2. Double-click on "System."
  3. Click on the "Device Manager" tab.

2. Double-click on System Devices (Fig. 1).

3. Double-click on PCI bus, and click the Settings tab (Fig.2)

4. 'Use Hardware' for the device enumeration works for us!

5. Next click on the IRQ Steering tab (Fig. 3).

6. UNCHECK the 'Use IRQ Steering' box, so that this "feature" is disabled!

7. Click "OK" and reboot your machine!

You're done!

Once again, keep in mind that these are the settings that we used to get this setup working.
