STUDI/O
Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Connect optically to your ADAT and/or DAT -- no signal degradation,
no ground loops or digital 'hash' in your audio.
  2. Record and play up to 16 channels in parallel -- save time and keep your audio in phase.
  3. Use the editing software of your choice -- Sonorus' standard Windows drivers mean compatibility with the widest variety of applications, current and future. ASIO driver on both Windows and Macintosh mean support for most pro audio software -- on both platforms.
  4. Plug'n'Play, and off you go! No special programming required!
  5. Change sample rates on the fly -- send your 48KHz mixdown through our sample rate converter to your DAT machine at 44.1KHz, CD-ready! Or, record in that sound effect CD at 48KHz, ready to mix in with your ADAT recordings!
  6. STUDI/O is 24-bit now! Use 16-bit mode to save disk space, or 24 bits for the highest resolution recordings. And thanks to S/MUX, you're ready for 96kHz -- your investment is protected.
  7. Grow with STUDI/O -- use it with two DAT machines today, then get an ADAT and connect that, and then get a second ADAT and connect that! Get 2 more ADATs; pop in another STUDI/O card. Use up to four cards in your computer.
  8. Why pay for more A/D and D/A converters? Your ADAT machine has 8 of each, and your DAT has 2 more of each! Record live to disk thru your ADAT in all-input mode.
